Bad Ass Bikes is a high quality cycle shop which provides superior levels of service to a very loyal group of customers. We pride ourselves on our world-class workshop and believe it to be one of the top five tech centres in the country. Our mechanics are Cytech qualified and have gone through years of rigorous training to get to the standard that we require.

The man behind this "the shop is only as good as its workshop" ethos is Rob 'Box' Cooksley, founder of Bad Ass Bikes, Former RockShox, GT and Schwinn race technician in the late 1990s who also has a string of national medals in cross country and downhill and is currently at the forefront of short course enduro racing in the UK.

We are not short on experience - with road bikes being a particular speciality, given that Rob did his apprenticeship in an Italian owned bike shop in the early nineties where road bikes were taken very seriously. Although we provide traditional levels of service our mechanics are familiar with all all aspects of modern bicycle tech from fork servicing through to bare frame prep and assembly. Our wheels have won no less than 5 elite xc British Championships and a top three in the Paris Roubaix.

This year sees the launch of our long-awaited new workshop and show room at Burrington Combe the gateway to the Mendip Hills. The shop is situated at the bottom of the Combe and is the perfect place to start your ride, so come and see us and check out the cutting-edge mountain bikes and road bikes we have in store.
