Chainrings
From Middleburn
MTB Chainrings
Middleburn chainrings are available in 4-Arm,CD, ATB and Shimano XTR960 fittings. All Middleburn Chainrings are machined from 7075T6 alloy and comply with industry standard fitments. This means they are compatible with almost any MTB chainset on the market today.
We offer two types of machining on our chainrings: Slickshift Chainrings which means they have ramps and pins to aid the change from one ring to another, and the Standard Chainrings which don't have ramps or pins and are intended for single speed/one ring applications.
We offer two different finishes for our chainrings. The first is anodising which comes in black, silver, red or blue and the second finish is Hardcoat, a Teflon impregnated ceramic coating which only comes in grey.
Downhill and Solid Chainrings
DH/Slalom rings are machined to a 4mm plate thickness. The result is an ultra high strength chainset assembly capable of withstanding large impacts.
Uno Singlespeed Chainrings
For singlespeed users Middleburn has developed the Uno - an all-in-one spider and chainring utilising our Sweet Torque™ technology. This ensures that it is amongst the lightest, stiffest and most durable of set-ups available.
Duo Chainrings
Designed with the performance XC racer in mind, Duo rings are intended to be used in pairs, instead of the normal triple-chainring setup.
The inner ring attaches to either RS-7 or RS-8 cranks using our exclusive Sweet Torque™ interface and acts as the 3-arm spider for the outer ring, saving weight.
All Duo outer chainrings utilise our slickshift technology, meaning that it is possible to run a 29T - 44T setup, maintaining a similar gearing range to a standard 3-ring chainset. Quite simply, it is perfect for all but the most severe terrain and offers a substantial weight saving.
