Simplicity in motion... a lot of bikers want at present one gear or fixed gear- we prefer NO GEAR !
Exhibitor Profile: Südpfalz Adventures
Südpfalz Adventures was founded in 1987 in the heart of Rhineland Pfalz (the "Palatinate") by Wolfgang Seibel. By the year 1996, it was a specialist outdoor shop with a small mountain bike department. During a trip abroad in August 1994 Wolfgang Seibel first saw a large wheeled scooter with pneumatic tyres. The special thing about this scooter was that it was not just about producing an enlarged children's scooter, but specially designed sports equipment. This new variant of scooter fascinated the rider from the start with its unusually light handling.
Infected by this experience, Seibel was keen to get some for his company. However, the existing models on the market at the time could not fulfill his high quality demands. Therefore in 1996 Wolfgang Seibel began developing his own improved models. First came a folding scooter with air tires, and then later several large wheeled scooters.
The breakthrough came in 2000. Through the Internet, it was possible to offer an information platform to people interested in scooters, and also to supply them. Seibel's most recently developed large-wheeled scooters were designed as a modular system offering versatility, and are universally applicable for a variety of uses. In total, Südpfalz Adventures currently manufactures 20 different models for every taste - downhill, off-road, industry, custom made scooters, and scooters for the dog scootering market.
Wolfgang Seibel has also modified existing models from other manufacturers and used these at various races in Tretrollersport in 2008, becoming the German Tretrollermeister and world champion in the senior class.
At our location in the heart of the Palatinate Forest, almost all scooters can be testridden. Südpfalz Adventures also offer scooter rentals, guided tours and technical scooter training.
The basic philosophy of our company is that a scooter is not intended to replace a bicycle. However, for short- and medium-haul routes as well as purely exercise, it is often the better option.
