We’re delighted to be able to introduce Big BMX this week. It’s aptly named – whereas the standard BMX wheel size is 20″, the Big BMX sports 26″ wheels. It’s a simultaneously a city bike and a great way of letting older (and taller) riders re-live their BMXing years.
The original concept (from designer Carl Tatum) was to create a highly robust bike that could stand up to being bruised and battered around the city; Carl looked immediately to the BMX as a model of structual integrity and created an entirely new breed of city bike, and the result is now being ridden around cities and skate-parks in the UK and Europe.
