That's right.

>from the comfort of their warm cocoons
I can not imagine being warm while driving to work at hard winter. It takes me 7 minutes by bike (or probably 6 minutes by car, I guess) to get to work, and I guess it would take about 15-20 minutes for my car cabin to warm up.

Hi Michael, I do not know. I shall measure it and get back to you. It's looong. And, actually it's now even longer than pictured since I elongated the deck of the trailer to allow the safe hauling of straw bales.

I've an unused Xtracycle in the yard. So far I have resisted the urge to bolt it onto the bakfiets..... :)

Cheers, Mick

I do like the setup. How long is it from front wheel to rear wheel of trailer?

So true Mike - People design their lives around a car and then they claim to 'need' a car because there is no other way of travelling to where they want to go.

One of the problems is people chosing to work too far from home, or live too far from work. I chose to live close enough to work to cycle in the worst of conditions. If it was too icy I would walk, if I am feeling unwell I risk the (unreliable) trams, which often take longer than walking - and I own and maintain a car.

Hi Nick, I've been wondering exactly that, the NuVinci would make the most perfect DH frame mounted 'gear box'. You can bet someone's working on it somewhere!

Hi

Really interesting and informative reviews, as the manufacturers say ''this changes everything'' I am not a fan of clutter on bikes, love single speeding but after moving back to the lakes there's only so much the pins can take. How long before someone puts one in the middle of a frame?
